DAY WISE ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Arrival Guwahati – Shillong (Distance: 120 kms/ Driving Time: 03 hrs approximately)

Arrive in Guwahati airport

En route witness the Umiam Lake or Barapani.

Is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines and peerless beauty.

If time permits visit Cathedral of Marry and Ward's Lake.

Transfer to Shillong and check-in to hotel.

Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Distance: 60 Kms/ Driving Time: 02 hrs approximately) oneway

Day excursion to Cherrapunjee

En route visit Elephant Falls at Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem viewpoint for mesmerizing views of the Hills.

In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls.

Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The limestone cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Also visit the Garden of Caves.

Day 03: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong

Shillong – Mawlynnong (Distance: 80 Kms/ Driving Time: 03 hrs approximately)

Mawlynnong – Dawki (Distance: 30 Kms/ Driving Time: 01:30 hrs approximately)

Dawki – Shillong (Distance: 80 Kms/ Driving Time: 03 hrs approximately)

Transfer to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge.

The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people inter-twine to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time. The root bridges may

be up to over a hundred feet long and take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they become very strong in the process. The bridges live and keep

growing and strengthen over time. The useful lifespan of the bridges is thought to be 500-600 years.

Later transfer to Dawki. a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river. The Umngot

itself is a prime fishing spot for fishermen of the villages. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as

if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span

suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride.

Transfer up to the Bangladesh border. Later back to Shillong.

Day 04: Shillong – Kaziranga (Distance: 270 Kms / Driving Time: 06 hrs approximately)

Transfer to Kaziranga and check in to hotel

Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 05: Kaziranga Sightseeing

Early morning go for Elephant Ride at 05-30 hrs/06: 30 hrs

(Subject to operation and allotment from forest department)

Transfer for Breakfast to hotel.

After breakfast Proceed for Jeep safari in the Central Range.

With Kohora as the entry point, the Central Range covers the Daphlang and Kathpora.

Later visit Orchid Biodiversity Park, enjoy Local Village and Tea Garden (Outer View).

Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Note: If elephant ride is not possible, we will provide Jeep Safari in another range of Kaziranga National Park.

 

Day 06: Kaziranga – Guwahati (Distance: 200 Kms / Driving Time: 04.30 hrs approximately)

Transfer to Guwahati and check in to hotel,

If time permits, Evening enjoys sunset river cruise on the Brahmaputra River.

Day 07: Guwahati Sightseeing – Departure from Guwahati

Proceed for Guwahati Sightseeing

Visit Maa Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple (Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings - 08:00 am to 01:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm) and Ropeway Ride in Guwahati

Transfer to Guwahati Airport to Board the Indigo flight 6E-316 Departing at 16:40 hrs and Arrive in  Bengaluru Airport at 20:00 hrs
